Pleased to see seven deer (only one from the record of eight) browsing in my backyard this week. It seems that the deer have had a good winter as they all appear healthy. We went for a drive "on the backroads" Saturday and found this waterfall that was just over a meter high and had washed away the road we were traveling on.. Later, three deer seemed unconcerned and posed for a pic.

Spring n Deer
Today I'm very happy because regardless of what the calendar says, I know that spring is here because the deer have returned to my backyard from their wintering grounds.

Lindsay Valley
Wendy and I love to cross-country ski and one of our favorite places to go is Lindsay Valley on Base Gagetown in the town of Oromocto. This family friendly facility has over 35 km of groomed trails. All trails are grooved for traditional skiing and include a lane for skate skiing. From beginner to expert these trails will offer fun and range in rating from easy to intermediate (with a few scary hills mixed in ). Trails are clearly marked and one trail is even lighted for night skiing on select dates. On arrival, visitors are greeted by a large parking lot , a ski lodge and a family sliding hill. The lodge has washroom facilities and canteen services on the weekend from 10 am - 5 pm. Telephone 506-422-2000 for more information.
