Wide Trail

While there hasn't been much snow this year, the lake offers the perfect surface to have some fun on a sunny winter day. The first pic is also my entry for Slywatch Friday........ http://skyley.blogspot.com/

Scenic Sunday # 3

Wendy and I were caught in a torrential downpour and took cover under the canopy of this huge tree. This short waterway between Maquapit and French Lake is an excellent spot to kayak with easy access and beautiful scenery. Make a day of it

Wendy and I love hanging out with friends and no one plays harder than our friends Dave & Heidi at North Cedars Photography. The first group of photos shows our outing to the thuroughfare at the twin bridges at French Lake. We paddled for a few hours, chasing a family of King Fishers, while avoiding gelatinous globs of an unknown substance and stopped and enjoyed a picnic lunch, before making the return trip. The second group of photos shows the cove on Grand Lake which Dave and Heidi's residence overlooks. It is a great place to go swimming, boating, fishing, or to just relax by the fire and enjoy the sunset. The last photo also happens to be my entry into Skywatch Fridays (http://skyley.blogspot.com/). Thanks again to North Cedars Photography for some fine shots and plenty of inspiration
